Texas Car Show Judges is a professional organization composed of car enthusiasts with years of experience judging car shows as well as showing cars. Our mission statement is to provide car show judging with integrity, consistency, and courtesy. Additionally, we would like to pass along some useful information about car show judging
- The number one thing to remember is a clean vehicle inside and out scores well.
- Judging consists of three main areas, exterior, trunk and interior, and engine bay.
- We can only judge what we can see, judges are not permitted to touch a judged vehicle. Open the hood, the trunk, and provide access to view the interior. Lifted vehicles which provide no means to view areas to be judged will not score well. Again, we can only judge what we can see.
- Judges attach a small colored tag to vehicles which have been judged, neither the color or placement of the tag on the front windshield has any meaning other that the vehicle has been judged.
- If your vehicle does not have a colored tag on the front windshield one hour before awards are to be announced, please notify the registration table.
- Additionally, if you must leave the show before your vehicles has been judged, PLEASE notify the registration table.
- Bonus points will be awarded for vehicles with a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, and a display. The displays do not need to be elaborate to be awarded the maximum of two points. Bonus points awarded for a fire extinguisher is one point, bonus points for a first aid kit is one point.
